Empowering the next generation of marine scientists

A group of people, including children and adults, wearing face masks, gathered around a table displaying various coral and marine life specimens, at an indoor science or education event.

Members of the Mydlarz lab are active in outreach and teaching. We want to be a part of your community events! Let us share our passion for coral reefs, the oceans, conservation, diversity in STEM, and science in general!

Workshops for Underrepresented Groups in STEM

Mentorship, Sponsorship, and Collaboration

We are passionate about diversity in science.

Dr. Mydlarz offers workshops and presentations designed for minority members in STEM careers. Learn how to curate your team of mentors, sponsors, and supporters to excel in your work!

Mydlarz lab is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive scientific community. We recognize that individuals from underrepresented groups often face barriers and may not have access to the same
built-in support networks as those in the majority. Because of this, we actively encourage the development of strong support systems—through mentorship, sponsorship, and collaboration—to help women and other underrepresented scientists thrive and succeed.

Dr. Mydlarz’ presentations and workshops are suitable for graduate students, early career researchers, and faculty. Contact Mydlarz@uta.edu for more information, or to arrange a consultation
